Dressing for Impact: In the Post Covid World
After almost two years of the Covid-19 pandemic, professional “dress” has changed and there is a great deal of confusion as to “what is appropriate” to wear as an entrepreneur or organizational representative. Working LIVE or virtual creates more questions about the appearance aspect of Executive Presence and how we spend our money on clothing. This presentation will explore additional insights on how we "dress for intent” to influence our clients and network in the business world.
Objectives:
• How to increase awareness of how you are perceived and your intended image
• How to create greater confidence and positive impressions by your appearance
• Dressing for intent (and impact!) to elevate your business objectives during ZOOM or live meetings
Sue Kantor
Founder and Owner, Sophisticated Styling
Sue Kantor is the founder and owner of Sophisticated Styling, an image and wardrobe consulting business.
Sue has powerful first-hand knowledge of the importance of dressing for the situation, organization, and client. Over 20 years of sales, marketing and management in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries taught Sue to dress for intent every single day. She left Genentech, Inc. with the vision of utilizing her personal experience in a way that would empower women in their careers.
To that end, Sue became certified as a Wardrobe Consultant and Personal Shopper by the Association of Image Consultants International (AICI) and trained with the same organization as an Image Consultant and Color Analyst. She received further training from a former stylist for TLC's What Not to Wear, and later founded Sophisticated Styling to serve women throughout Central Ohio as an image and wardrobe stylist. Sue’s goal is to enable women to confidently develop their own personal style within the context of their life and career, enhance their self-confidence to create lasting impressions.
In addition to styling her personal clients, Sue has served as a fashion and photo stylist for an on-line fashion retail website. In 2017, she was the stylist for fashion shoots and fashion shows for the Central Ohio-based Buckeye Lifestyle magazine. She has delivered talks on topics such as “Executive Presence” and “Wardrobe Strategies that will take you from Invisible to Influential” and “Dressing for Intent” to women’s groups and organizations. Her objective is to share the importance and impact of appearance on executive presence.
When she is not styling her clients, she volunteers her time on the Board of the Women’s Small Business Accelerator and leads the Programming and Outreach Committee. While working with female entrepreneurs, she is able to further her impact on women who need help in their business through education and resources.
Sue is passionate about international travel, and during her free time, she explores international fashion, travel photography and other travel adventures with her husband, Seth.
