Tonya Tiggett has a passion for helping business professionals to develop the fine art of business conversation through career strategy to elevate their personal and career advancement. Tonya brings diverse experience in the learning and development field starting in public school systems with bilingual education, later at her alma mater The Ohio State University and at Fortune 500 company JP Morgan Chase, and currently leading her own leadership consulting company called Tiggett & Co.
It was during her tenure in the banking industry where she began authoring and leading professional development and career strategy programs in English and Spanish for three lines of business, reaching thousands of colleagues and twice being named an ICON Award honoree.
During her corporate career, Tonya became known for her energetic teaching approach, unique activities to increase self-awareness, and a hands-on program experience that consistently yielded immediate career and life-changing results for her colleagues. These results, combined with an entrepreneurial spirit, led Tonya to form a leadership and talent development company in 2013.
Fast-forward to 2022 where Tonya continues her quest to equip as many professionals as possible with tools, strategy, and the motivation to take charge of their career by increasing their confidence levels, taking ownership of their communications and relationships, and shifting their mindset to realize amazing career results. To date she has worked with over 12,000 people globally and still loves designing programs and learning experiences that are transformational.
Tonya has actively volunteered thousands of hours since 2005 to support multiple community leadership initiatives in Central Ohio through non-profit board work, primarily to support the advancement of women and girls, most recently with the Columbus Chapter of National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) as Past Board Chair.
When not in a virtual classroom, Tonya can be found exploring new places near and far to satisfy the wanderlust in her soul, going “all out” in an Orangetheory Fitness class, walking her cat Meow Meow, reading the newest Ruth Ware or Stephen King novel, and dreaming of getting back on the golf course or sand volleyball court…someday.
